JP Asbestos provides licensed Class A and Class B asbestos removal services across Farm Cove and the wider East Auckland. We handle everything from inspection and testing through to removal, clearance certification, and complete re-roofing.
If your Farm Cove home was built or renovated before 2000, there is a good chance it contains asbestos somewhere, and roofing, soffits and wall linings are the most common places. When asbestos is old, cracked, or weathered, its fibres become dangerous. You cannot remove it yourself — it's illegal and unsafe. We're licensed, local, and ready to handle everything from inspection through to a brand-new roof. One call and we take it from there.
Farm Cove was mostly developed in the 1970s and 80s. Homes from this period frequently have asbestos in soffits, textured ceilings and wet-area linings.
Homeowners renovating, landlords preparing for new tenants and builders working on older Farm Cove properties regularly come across asbestos, often unexpectedly. If you are planning work on a home built before 2000, get it tested first.
Under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016, any work that disturbs asbestos-containing material requires licensed removalists for Class A friable materials, and certified personnel for Class B. JP Asbestos holds both licences and manages full WorkSafe NZ compliance for every job in Farm Cove.
